![JOE DEAL - ‘NUFF SAID. 21.12.10
for the past semester i’ve been in this amazing class about landscape photography. it may have been the prof or the students and not the subject that made it, but pretty much i’ve been getting into landscape/placescape photography and looking at a lot of landscape photographers from the 70s [see exhibits like ‘new topographics’]. apparently the henry art gallery must have known this and decided to only further my education. right now until late march they are having, what at least looks like, an amazing exhibit on joe deal and altered landscapes. with work from joe deal, lewis baltz (love.), robert adams (his photo is above), frank gohlke, and a couple others - how could i miss this? if you’re in seattle anytime until april head over to uw and check out the exhibit at the henry art gallery. we can have lunch. it’ll be awesome.
