yes, we all know the story - life is a little hectic, my artist of the week has turned into artist of the month or artist of the millenium. but don’t fret – have i got some gems to share. the most recent portfolio viewing brought a one mr. ture lillegraven. an amazing photographer who has a knack for documenting musicians in and out of their element. from alex ebert of edward sharpe to the black keys as well as a good collection of actors, athletes, directors, writers, dancers, and other talented folk, this man has seen it all and has the stories to back it up, including a great one involving the desert, 4 am, the like and a bouncy castle. his great use of staged and reflected lighting and his often-utilized element of the strange or awkward really add to the dynamism of his shots and his amazing commercial appeal.
